More than 600 visitors attend Game Connection

The organisers of last week's Game Connection event in Lyon, France, which took place from from 5 - 7 March, have announced record numbers of visitors and exhibitors.

The organisers of last week's Game Connection event in Lyon, France, which took place from from 5 - 7 March, have announced record numbers of visitors and exhibitors.

Around 600 people attended Game Connection 2006, and each visitor went to more than 30 meetings on average. The total number of exhibitors stood at 152 - up 35 per cent from last year - and over 110 game and service buyers attended.

The exhibitors came from 32 different countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Russia, Canada, Thailand, South Korea and Japan, plus the US and Nordic territories.

The next Game Connection event will take place at the Game Developer Conference from March 5 - 9 in San Francisco. According to the organisers, many companies - including Microsoft, Nintendo, Vivendi, Ubisoft, Konami and more - have already signed up.
