Just under 164,000 DS units were sold during the week - more than all other consoles combined.

In second place was the Wii with 65,500 units, followed by PSP on 33,000.

PlayStation 2 is still outselling its successor - 12,000 consoles were sold compared to 9500 PlayStation 3 units.

Xbox 360 continues to trail behind, with just under 3400 consoles shifted, while Game Boy Micro and Game Boy Advance figures stood at 284 and 130 respectively.

The DS also dominated the week's software chart, with more than two thirds of the top 30 games having been published for Nintendo's handheld.
