Mobile divisions' performance uninspiring

THQ Wireless numbers dip, while EA Mobile remains static.

Recent financial results for the first quarter of 2008 show disappointing figures for two of the key global mobile phone game publishers.

THQ Wireless posted a year on year dip from a 5.5 per cent platform share of revenue to 4.2 per cent.

Due to an overall net sales drop in that time, that represents a net revenue slip from USD 7.63 million last year to USD 4.39 million this year.

In the same three month period to the end of June, EA Mobile's revenue remained flat at USD 33 million, although it was down USD 3 million on the last quarter.
