miniWORLDGAMES goes mobile with a branded WAP portal

Equal Mobile providing complete package for Joyjam spin-off

Online and mobile game developers miniWORLDGAMES has signed a deal with Equal Mobile for the creation of a branded WAP portal.

The company intends to further expand the audience for its games, which are currently available online through the firm's community friendly website, Joyjam.com. The creation of a branded WAP portal will allow mobile users direct access to a selection of titles from miniWORLDGAMES' catalogue.

Among the first titles to be released using the new service will be Ian Botham's StickCricket; a mobile version of the popular online game, and a skateboarding title based on the cult MTV television series Dirty Sanchez.

Jan Maarten Heuff, miniWORLDGAMES CEO, said "We are very excited to be working with Equal Mobile. Their solution allows us to directly connect with the global mobile games market. However, it's the ease of use and flexibility of the system that we feel is going to deliver the best results for our audience."

Equal Mobile has created a complete web based content management and billing system that creates mobile internet sites in WAP. miniWORLDGAMES will be able to bill globally via Equal Mobile's carrier billing, premium SMS and credit card billing systems.

Daniel Feane, Equal Mobile's CEO, said "The miniWORLDGAMES deal is interesting, as they have a strong roster of mobile games, plus an enthusiastic internet following for their free pc games, and are looking for a way to combine these two strengths. We finding more and more brands and mobile content developers are looking for ways to sell direct to end users, via off-portal WAP sites."

Equal's current clients include Nokia partners, magazines, satellite TV stations and mobile games developers. The company's experience in WAP sites and online content management enables clients to sell ringtones, java games, video, images, animations, wallpaper and mp3s, managing their own content online.

miniWORLDGAMES host a large catalogue of online games at www.joyjam.com and the company's mobile content can currently be found on Vodafone, O2, and T-Mobile Europe and USA.
