Mighty Bear Games closes seven-figure seed funding round

Skycatcher, Everblue, M Ventures lead investment into Singapore-based startup

Mighty Bear Games announced today the conclusion of a seed funding round that brought in an undisclosed seven-digit figure. Investment in the Singapore-based developer was led by investors Skycatcher, Everblue, and M Ventures.

This follows a pre-seed round concluded last year that brought in $775,000. This new funding round is planned to be used to hire new developers and launch Mighty Bear's first games. Currently, the developer has one game in market testing for iOS and Android in the Phillippines and India, with a global launch planned for this year.

"Having world-class investors in games and technology from the US, Europe, and Asia is immense," said CEO Simon Davis. "The diversity of expertise will be a great asset especially as we prepare to launch our first game this month and scale globally in the months ahead."

Mighty Bear Games was founded by alumni of King, Ubisoft, Jagex, and Disney and is backed by both Global Founders Capital and Lev Leviev, co-founder of Eastern European social network VK.com.
