Madfinger Games secures €5 million investment from Nuverse

Funding will go towards strengthening the Czech developer's teams and improving its portfolio

Mobile games studio Madfinger Games secured a €5 million investment from Hong Kong-based developer and publisher Nuverse.

The funding will go towards expanding the Madfinger team, improving its current portfolio of games, including the Shadowgun and Dead Trigger series, and developing new titles.

The studio's founder and CEO, Marek Rabas, commented: "We are thrilled to have Nuverse on board. They provide us not only capital but also a solid experience in the gaming market. The funding allows us to hire new talents from all over the world to accelerate the release of our games."

Czech developer Madfinger was founded in 2010 by former 2K staff. It's mainly known for its Shadowgun franchise, which has been available on iOS since 2011.

Nuverse is part of ByteDance, TikTok's parent company. Last November, ByteDance launched Pixmain, its publishing arm, and Danjuan Games -- a casual gaming platform.

For the record, this article previously stated the investment amount s $5 million. This has been corrected to €5 million.
