Madden is best global seller in Q3

Wii Fit, Pokemon Platinum and Force Unleashed all in top five

Sales data from Top Global Markets reveals that Electronic Arts' Madden NFL 09 was the best selling game for the third quarter July to September 2008.

The game sold 2,994,000 units in the US, Japan and the UK combined, beating Nintendo's Wii Fit which sold 2,089,000 units.

LucasArts' Star Wars: The Force Unleashed managed to shift 1,738,000 copies, while Nintendo's Pokemon Platinum sold an impressive 1,482,000 units despite only being released in Japan during the quarter.
