London MCM Expo 2010

Curve Studios to show off Explodemon! at next month's show.

29-31 OCTOBER – EXCEL LONDON – ROYAL VICTORIA DOCK

Retro gamers and old school platformer fans rejoice! Indie developer Curve Studios has confirmed that visitors to the London MCM Expo, which closes out this year’s London Games Festival at Excel on 29-31 October, will be the first to get their hands on stylish new PS3 actioner Explodemon!

Curve Studios’ debut self-published title, Explodemon! is a 2.5D platform action game brought kicking and screaming into the high definition era, with gorgeous modern graphics going hand-in-hand with hardcore, edge-of-your-seat gameplay.

Influenced by classic Japanese games from the golden era of the SNES, players use Explodemon’s self-destructive nature to combat enemies and fly through the air, all the while solving a huge variety of physics-based puzzles. Oh, and causing incalculable collateral damage, naturally!

“We’re really excited to be exhibiting at the MCM Expo,” said Jason Perkins, Managing Director of Curve Studios. “ Explodemon! is aimed squarely at a core audience, designed to evoke memories of the games that used to be made in the olden days. With sci-fi and comic influences aplenty, Explodemon! is a perfect fit for a broader exhibition such as the MCM Expo. It’ll be the first time the game is made available for the public to play, and we can’t wait to let them get their hands on it and tell us what they think!”

Curve Studios is the latest games company to confirm their presence at London MCM Expo, joining Nintendo; EA Games; Ubisoft; Tecmo Koei; Capcom; Warner Bros. Games; Bandai Namco; Atari Europe; PQube/Zen United, Rising Star Games and online retailer ShopTo.net.
