LEGO and Amazon join GamesIndustry.biz Investment Summit in London
GamesCo London also meeting indie devs at EGX
The GamesIndustry.biz Investment Summit is now just over two weeks away, and we've added three new names to the roster.
The biggest addition is LEGO Ventures, which will not only be meeting with indie creators, but also speaking at the event on its mission to unearth the next Minecraft.
Amazon Game Tech has also joined the Summit and will be offering discounts to developers. Finally, investor GamesCo London will also be meeting with independent creators one-to-one.
The Investment Summit is a dedicated funding event that takes place on Thursday, October 17 at London ExCel. It runs adjacent to the UK's biggest consumer show EGX. The morning of the event features talks from the likes of Xbox, Team17, Google Stadia and LEGO, whereas the afternoon consists of one-to-one meetings between developers and investors/publishers.
Tickets cost £99 (plus fees) for developers, and includes access to the event, a networking lunch and a free pass to EGX for the entire weekend. You can buy them through here.
For publishers and investors, a limited number of tables remain. Tables cost £500 (with meeting rooms set at £1,000) and can be bought by emailing Jamie.Sefton@GamesIndustry.biz.
Companies set to meet with developers at the event include Agnitio Capital, Amazon Game Tech, BFI, Dear Villagers, Frontier Developments, GamesCo London, Google, Green Man Gaming, Jagex, Kalypso, Kowloon Nights, LEGO, London Venture Partners, Makers Fund, Miniclip, MTG, Renaissance, SEGA, Sold Out, Square Enix Collective, Super.com, Team17, Triple Dragon, Those Awesome Guys, Xbox and Xsolla.
More than 150 developers have now signed up to attend.
One-to-one meetings are at the discretion of the publishers and investors. To secure meetings before the event, developers must fill in a meeting request form by this Friday, October 4th (you'll receive a link to the form alongside your ticket).
