Milan, November 24th 2008 – The first edition of the IVDC: Italian Videogame Developers Conference ( www.ivdconf.it) has been enthusiastically concluded on Saturday evening, with a great critics and public success.

The conference, whose mission was to make a meeting of the most important names in the field of the Italian game development, has been graced by the presence of all the most important Italian software houses, and of the two big national publishers: Black Bean Games and 505 Games. On Saturday there have been many meetings, presentations, round tables that about 500 people in the field have attended.

Outside the conference room, the recruitment area held by our most important developers, Milestone and Ubisoft Studios Milan, recorded an incredible success, with hundreds of curricula left by the wannabe developers.

Marco Accordi Rickards, director of the IVDC and President of AIOMI, declared: “The IVDC’s success was beyond our best expectations. Raoul Carbone and I are already working on a second edition capable to match the expectations. One thing is for sure: the scene of the Italian game development is finally experimenting an official moment of union and confrontation”.

AIOMI (Italian Association for Videogame Culture) is an organization instituted for the preservation, protection, diffusion and promotion of Videogame as a social and cultural medium. AIOMI gave birth to IVDC, the only National congress of Italian videogame developers.

Ludic@rena, The Italian Videogames Fair, takes place from November 21st to 23rd at the DatchForum of Assago (Mi).

Ludic@rena is the meeting place of every gamer, netgamer, fan or simply game enthusiast. On schedule: Lan Party, free tournaments, prize-giving ceremonies, a modding area and many presentations of the latest products.
