Howling Sword

Free-to-play casual action game to be published in Japan by Gamepot, ahead of its home launch in Korea.

Seoul, Korea- Jan. 28, 2010- ESTsoft announced the publishing agreement of its new free-to-play casual action game Howling Sword with Gamepot. Japan will be the first country to be launched even before its local market in Korea. Gamepot's commitment shows the potential of the game. Howling Sword received a series of positive reviews during the second Closed Beta Test on January 15.

Howling Sword's Japanese publisher, Gamepot, is a subsidiary of So-net Entertainment Corporation, formerly known as Sony Communication Network Corporation. ESTsoft has solidified its partnership with Gamepot since Gamepot has operated ESTsoft's Cabal Online in Japan in 2005.

Started with the publishing agreement, ESTsoft lays out aggressive expansion plan in worldwide based on the know-how the company gathered from exporting Cabal Online in 60 countries. ESTsoft is also considering a possibility to self-publish in key strategic countries.

"We will write the second success story with Gamepot who has been a wonderful partner for Cabal Online. Starting from Japan, we will enter the global market and build a momentum with other upcoming games," said Jangjoon Kim, CEO at ESTsoft.
