GUTS

Joyous news for all comrades as communist state of Slabovia's iPhone game gets an update.

GUTS, the iPhone and iPod Touch game developed by Tag Games on behalf of Slabovia, the last communist state in Europe, now has an update available from the App Store. The update includes a number of minor bug fixes and a global highscore table, meaning players around the world can compete against each other to prove their allegiance to General Schmerdiakov - and pay honour to the miraculous medical procedure that saved his life.

Taking the form of 11 levels, each taking place in a different part of the General’s body, GUTS re-tells the spectacular success of two Slabovian citizens shrunk to microscopic size in order to combat the General’s wide range of ailments from within – largely owing to unhealthy living and extreme old age. Players take the role of Kierky and Neitzche as they fantastically voyage through organs and blood vessels to save Slabovia’s glorious leader. Designed and created in cooperation with Tag Games, GUTS also features a rousing 8-bit soundtrack from reknowned producer and DJ Si Begg (in conjunction with Slabovia’s very own 8-bit Orchestra).

The GUTS update is available from the App Store now.

About Slabovia.tv:

Slabovia.tv is an online representation of the Slabovian State Communications Network and its various media output. General Schmerdiakov launched slabovia.tv on 7 March 2008 to celebrate 60 years of "glorious repression" in Slabovia. He believes it is "an opportunity" for the world to look upon his leadership as an example, and for it to see how great The People's Republic is.

The Slabovian State Communications Network is notoriously fickle, particularly in its broadcasting departments, and does not tolerate programming content that it deems non-Slabovian or does not meet with the General's approval.

Due to the high expectations of all televisual output, no TV commissioner in Slabovia has survived in the role for more than six months. If you have any complaints about the current service please Contact Us.

It has been suggested that Slabovia.tv has business ties with independent Scottish Television Production company, Tern TV, and the mighty British broadcaster Channel 4. We vehemently deny any such association.
