Guitar Hero III to debut at EIF 2007

Activision's Guitar Hero III and Codemasters' Turning Point and Rise of the Argonauts will get their world exclusive public premiers at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival this month.

Activision's Guitar Hero III will get its European exclusive debut at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival this month, while Codemasters' Turning Point and Rise of the Argonauts will make their global public premiers at the event.

Take Two's Bioshock, Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed and Midway's Unreal Tournament 3 will also be included in screenings taking place on Tuesday August 14.

The event is also promising a panel session for the public entitled 'How To Get Into The Games Industry', and game screenings will be presented by individuals close to the projects, including Epic's Mark Rein and Free Radical Design's Dave Doak.

"The Edinburgh Interactive Festival gives gamers their only chance to see the latest games for PC and console weeks or months before they hit the market," said Brian Baglow, Edinburgh Interactive Festival 2007 screenings director.

High Street retailer Gamestation is also teaming up with the event, with stores in Scotland offering tickets for the screenings for free.

More information for the entire event, including the game screenings, can be seen on the official website.
