GT5 discs "are being stamped as we speak"

Yamauchi claims much-delayed racer is gold, but release date not given

Notoriously delayed PlayStation 3 driving sim Gran Turismo 5 appears to finally be complete.

Its discs "are being stamped as we speak", project lead Kazunori Yamauchi told Jalopnik.

Neither Polyphony Digital or Sony have given a final release date for the game, however. It was most recently due for release this week, but was pushed back until later "this holiday season" three weeks ago.

Gran Turismo 5 has been in development for six years, and was originally revealed at E3 2006. Last year, Polyphony claimed the budget had hit $60 million.
