Goodgame Studios appoints new head of communications

Dirk Hensen joins from Twitter Germany

Dirk Hensen has joined German free-to-play outfit Goodgame Studios as the new head of communications and public affairs.

"We are delighted to welcome Dirk Hensen to Goodgame Studios," said COO Dr Christian Wawrzinek.

"His many years of experience leading communications teams in international online companies make him the perfect person to fill the role, as well as the ideal candidate for leading our corporate communications."

Previously Hensen spent two years in Twitter's German office as head of communications, and has also held similar roles at PayPal and Yahoo.

Earlier this month Goodgame celebrated hitting a recruitment milestone as its employee count rose to over 1000.

The studio was founded in 2009 and has offices in Hamburg, Tokyo and Seoul. Its games include Goodgame Big Farm, Shadow Kings - Dark Ages and Goodgame Poker and overall it has 12 titles in 25 languages and over 220 million registered users.
