Geometry Wars for mobiles released
Exclusively on Verizon in North America
The mobile phone version of hit Xbox Live Arcade title Geometry Wars is now available in North America.
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved Mobile has been exclusively released for select Verizon Wireless Get It Now-enabled handsets.
The game has been produced in co-operation with original developer Bizarre Creations, and is said to be faithful to the original.
There are eight new gameplay modes, including Untouchable, Survivor and Bomber, and players can keep track of their scores via a leaderboard.
"The controls are intuitive and the visual style is true to the Geometry Wars world," said Martyn Chudley, managing director of Bizarre Creations.
"The game has managed to capture the essence of the original game, whilst being tailor made for the strengths of the mobile platforms and their audience."
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved Mobile is priced at USD 3.49 for monthly access or USD 6.49 for unlimited use.
