Gearbox snags Captured Dimensions

Jordan William to remain as the 3D capture company's president as it joins the Borderlands developer

Gearbox Entertainment has announced its acquisition of 3D capture company Captured Dimensions.

The firm has worked with entertainment companies such as Lionsgate, Sony Pictures, 2K Games, and EA.

Captured Dimensions' services include 3D printing, prop scanning and cross-polarized texture photography.

Jordan William will remain the firm's president and now report to Gearbox's president Randy Pitchford.

"This acquisition brings incredible technology into the fold for future projects and enables further expansion of offerings to strategic partners across multiple business units," said Gearbox chief business officer Sean Haran.

In terms of acquisitions, in 2022, Gearbox purchased Tiny Tina's Wonderlands co-developer Lost Boys Interactive.
