GameSpot Trax UK Predicts Most Anticipated Game of 2010

London, 3 February, 2009 – GameSpot UK ( www.gamespot.co.uk), the leading source of information, entertainment and community for UK gamers, today announced the winner of its annual Readers’ Choice awards, with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves taking the top spot as Best Game of 2009.

The survey, which registered over 150,000 votes from UK readers, pinpoints Uncharted 2: Among Thieves as the favourite game of 2009, with Dragon Age Origins and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 coming in second and third respectively.

"It's fantastic to see a game as great as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves win our readers' game of 2009 award," said Guy Cocker, Editor of GameSpot UK. "We scored the game 9.5 on the back of its cinematic presentation, thrilling story and incredible action--qualities our users obviously appreciated as well!”

Furthermore, based on information mined from GameSpot UK, GameSpot Trax announced its predictions for the most anticipated games of 2010. GameSpot Trax is a market intelligence tool used by marketers, analysts and retailers to analyse current and future trends in gaming.

The following titles are the UK’s top 25 most anticipated video games of Q1 2010 according to GameSpot Trax:

The GameSpot Trax 2010 Most Anticipated List was developed using the following rules:

• Buzz is calculated by using a weighted sum of five measures (users, page views, keyword searches, video streams and total new users tracking) obtained via GameSpot Trax UK on a daily basis over the last three months.

• All games scheduled to release between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010 were taken into consideration.
