.games and .game website domains launching soon

Uniregistry plans to open .game availability this month as Rightside slates .games for third quarter

Developers looking for a catchy website URL are about to have a lot more options at their disposal, as companies are preparing to make the .game and .games generic top-level domains available this year.

Uniregistry has said it will open general availability on the .game extension on May 17 at 16:00 UTC, while Rightside this week announced that it has acquired the .games extension and will be launching availability in the third quarter of this year.

Rightside will be offering URLs carrying the .games extension for $12. Uniregistry hasn't specified a price for .game sites, but it currently offers other sites on the .juegos extension for $13.88 a year.
