GAME launches new mobile service
Customers now able to download games, applications, videos and other content via retail portal
UK specialist retailer GAME has announced the launch of a new mobile service that will allow consumers to download games, applications, videos and other content.
The GAME Mobile service has been developed in conjunction with the Zed Group, whose technology claims to be able to handle the large selection of mobile handsets in the market - as well as a wide variety of content price points.
"Gaming on the go is increasingly attractive to customers - whether it's mini-games or mobile versions of well-known console titles, GAME Mobile will offer our customers a wide range of content for their handsets," said Paul Howes, GM of Digital at GAME. "We recognise that gaming on the mobile device is a significant area of growth and we are bringing our expertise to the sector, seeing it as fundamental to our developing multi-channel proposition."
And Zed UK country manager Michalia Negri added: "We are thrilled to be working with GAME to develop their mobile proposition and help deliver the best experience for their customers."
