Game Connection Europe 2008

Tiga helping UK developers attend this week's event in Lyon.

Immediate release

November 3rd 2008

This week Tiga will be helping to support the UK’s largest Group ever to attend Game Connection Europe in Lyon. Tiga has secured significant financial assistance from UKT&I for 13 UK games businesses attending the trade show.

Richard Wilson, CEO of Tiga, said:

“One of Tiga’s principal activities is to develop services that enhance the competitiveness of Tiga members. This will help to make the UK the best place in the world to do games business. Our aim is to build a package of services that make a material difference to games businesses and so strengthen their long term growth prospects.

“Tiga has recently been awarded accreditation status to work with UKT&I’s Tradeshow Access Programme in delivering support to UK businesses exhibiting at overseas trade shows. As an accredited trade organisation, Tiga can provide substantial financial assistance for games developers, technology and middleware providers attending trade shows. I am delighted therefore that we have been able to secure significant financial assistance from UKT&I to support 36% of the UK Group to Games Connection Europe.

“I look forward to meeting all of the UK games businesses attending Games Connection Europe this week. I hope that Tiga will be able to support even more businesses at other trade shows in the future.”
