Game::Business::Law 2010

"Virtual participation" to be encouraged via Twitter by Wave Integrated Marketing Solutions.

DALLAS, TX - January 20, 2010 – Wave Integrated Marketing Solutions announced today that it is working with Guildhall at SMU to add virtual participation to the upcoming International Summit on the Law and Business of Video Games, “2010 Game::Business::Law” ( www.game-business-law.com). The summit will be held on the SMU campus January 27 – 28, 2010.

Wave, a conference sponsor, is using social media powerhouse Twitter to assemble and manage an online audience for the summit, allowing virtual attendees to ask questions of speakers and comment on the event in progress. The agency has created a Twitter account, [@videolawsummit], expressly for the conference.

2010 Game::Business::Law brings together global game industry leaders, investors, developers, publishers and lawyers for two days to discuss current business trends and legal issues in the games industry. The summit will provide practical approaches for achieving success in the evolving marketplace of digital games.

During the event, Wave will tally questions and create a list to be answered at the end of the summit. The agency also will monitor Twitter chatter related to the conference and provide feedback to participants.

“We’re looking forward to this opportunity to expand participation in 2010 Game::Business::Law through the use of social media,” said Kristina Witmer, Wave IMS partner. “People who are unable to attend the conference can still benefit from the expertise of the top thought leaders in the law and business of video games.”
