IMGA award bagged for "Excellence in Connectivity".

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Barcelona, Spain, 19 February 2009

Firemint is delighted to announce that its upcoming game “Firemint Real Racing” has received the International Mobile Gaming Award for Excellence in Connectivity during a ceremony held at the Mobile World Congress.

Firemint Real Racing is a realistic racing game to be released for iPhone and iPod Touch. Players can compete in pro circuit racing on tracks all over the world and in a variety of vehicle classes. The game is rendered in visually stunning 3D using Firemint’s proprietary Mint3D technology.

Firemint Real Racing will feature a number of different control methods to suit individual players’ preferences and skill levels, including choices such as accelerometer or touch based steering. Different views of the action include exterior car shots and a Real Racing cockpit view with animated driver and instruments displaying actual race data. A preview video of the game can be seen at www.firemint.com/realracing.

Connected features that impressed the judges include the ability for players to automatically upload video replays of their best laps to YouTube. Further connected and social media features, previewed by the judges, will be announced as the game nears release.

“I’m absolutely thrilled and excited that Firemint Real Racing has been honored with this coveted award, it’s a credit to the team and the fantastic effort they are putting in. We set out to make the best pro racing game on iPhone, and this award proves that we’re on the right track! I’m looking forward to revealing more features soon.” said Robert Murray, CEO of Firemint.

“We’ve put a lot of effort into the connected functionality in this game” said Kynan Woodman, Development Director at Firemint. “The YouTube uploads are just one particular feature, but there is more to show yet. Our connected features will deliver what we believe to be the most compelling racing experience on a handheld device.”

The International Mobile Gaming Awards are recognized as the industry’s premier event for innovative mobile content. Firemint has a proud history of achievement at the Awards, having won in each of the last three years, the only developer to achieve this. Firemint Real Racing joins previous Firemint winners “Mega Monsters” for Excellence in 3D (2007), and “FIA World Rally Championship”, winner of the People’s Choice Award (2008).
