Nottingham, United Kingdom – 23rd July 2009 – Ferion owners, Hail of Bullets Software, announce a price reduction of their arena keys by 60% during the August period to help their cash strapped players during the summer holidays.
Each key normally costs 5 Euros and bundles of 10 keys are normally 40 Euros but with a 60% sale over the August period, each key will cost only 2 Euros and bundles just 16 Euros.
“We have seen an increase in returning players and felt that, with the recession biting, now was a good time to help out our loyal fans” said Iain Key, Technical Director at Hail of Bullets Software.
Ferion ( http://www.Ferion.com) is a 4X spaced-based free online game running since 1999 that has seen over 371,000 players and has been translated into 11 different languages.
Players take on the role of the leader of a space-faring race that has been transported to an arena of star systems by a malevolent alien race where they must battle it out against hundreds of other players for survival and kudos in a game of deep strategy.
There are usually many arenas running at the same time and players are free to join any arena while it is in the start up phase.
Each arena often lasts approximately a month meaning a bad start in one arena doesn’t harm a player in the long term.
Each arena is completely free to play but players may purchase premium keys that can be used to unlock extended sections of the technology tree and give them an advantage in that arena.
