A new quality assurance game consultancy has launched, founded by veteran testing manager Andy Robson.

Testology intends to offer a number of services including on and off-site testing, gameplay consultancy, functionality testing and manual and in-game copy proofing.

"The games industry has really changed during the past twelve years and it makes sound economic sense for developers and publishers to outsource this service," said Robson.

"There is a real need for a quality assurance game consultancy which can offer a top notch service at a fair price," he added.

Robson has previously worked for Bullfrog Productions and Lionhead on over 30 titles including Fable, Black & White, Dungeon Keeper, Theme Park and The Movies. He has also worked with publishers including Electronic Arts, Microsoft and Activision.
