Eurogamer Network expands trade team

New sales and editorial hires boosts MobileIndustry.biz and GamesIndustry.biz

Eurogamer Network, the UK's leading videogames website publisher, has announced the expansion of the trade team responsible for the GamesIndustry.biz and MobileIndustry.biz sites with two new appointments.

Richard Sturgess joins the company as trade advertising sales manager. His CV includes ten years spent in regional radio sales working for both Chrysalis and GWR, before he joined magazine publisher Future in 2004 as recruitment account manager for EDGE.

He will now oversee all trade marketing and recruitment advertising across MobileIndustry.biz and GamesIndustry.biz, the leading videogame industry website.

"I'm looking forward to building on the successful relationships we already have in place and with the additional strategies we have in development, we expect to see significant growth for our business and ultimately for our clients," said Richard.

Rupert Loman, Eurogamer Network's director of operations, commented: "We're delighted to have Richard join the Eurogamer team. The sales experience he brings will be hugely valuable to the business and will help us achieve the rapid growth we have planned for the coming years."

Paul Loughrey has also recently joined Eurogamer Network as a member of the trade team's editorial staff, producing news and features for GamesIndustry.biz and MobileIndustry.biz - some of which you've almost certainly read already. Paul has experience of both the videogames journalism and public relations sectors, and was previously the editor of PlayStation Gamer magazine.

The new appointments are the latest step in Eurogamer Network's growth as a leading media publisher, and follows on from recent developments such as Eurogamer.net's content syndication deal with Yahoo! UK, the launch of MobileIndustry.biz and registration with ABCE for independent traffic audits.

All sales or recruitment enquiries regarding GamesIndustry.biz or MobileIndustry.biz should now be directed to Richard, who can be contacted on +44 (0)7920 061 984 or on richard@gamesindustry.biz
