Elite and Halo consoles priced for Australia

Microsoft has finalised dates and launch prices for the Xbox 360 Elite and the branded Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 consoles in Australia.

Microsoft has finalised dates and launch prices for the Xbox 360 Elite and the branded Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 consoles in Australia.

Essentially the same package as the European model, the Elite features a black console, 120GB hard-drive, controller, headset, Ethernet cable and one month Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Announced at E3 last month, the Halo 3 Special Edition console is a standard Premium 360 but with green and gold Halo branding, a Play & Charge kit and access to exclusive Halo 3 gamer pics and themes via Xbox Live

The Elite will go on sale in the region on August 30 priced AUD 729.95 (EUR 425), with the 120GB hard-drive selling on its own for AUD 229.95 (EUR 134).

The Halo 3 Xbox 360 console will arrive September 20 with a recommended retail price of AUD 679.95 (EUR 396).
