EEDAR expands services with new hire

Mock reviews and feature analysis on offer as Erik Brudvig heads up a new division

Videogame analyst firm EEDAR has unveiled a new business division - Editorial Insights - which will offer new services to the industry, to be headed up by former IGN editor Erik Brudvig.

The division will focus on maximising the efficiency of media work for companies, and will provide options such as mock reviews, review score forecasting, feature analysis, editorial outliet bias and market positioning services.

"The addition of Mr Brudvig further strengthens the EEDAR team with his expertise, professionalism and deep understanding of the videogame industry's unique editorial processes," said Greg Short, president and CEO at EEDAR. "Mr. Brudvig will lead efforts to expand our already broad research offerings with key strategic services to publishers as they engage consumers with new product launches."

And Brudvig himself added: "I've spent a large portion of my career educating and communicating to the consumer on upcoming and released videogames. This is a unique opportunity to provide the videogame industry with exciting new ways to prepare for their editorial based marketing and promotion strategies."

Brudvig previously spent five years at IGN, where he served as the executive editor for the Xbox 360 section, and further details on the new division will be released when it launches next month.
