Electronic Arts will be operating Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, through an agreement with service provider GigaMedia.

GigaMedia will provide marketing, community management, tech support and customer services, while working with development team EA Mythic.

"The MMORPG fantasy genre is a tried and tested success formula - especially in Asia - and we look forward to introducing a new audience to the uniquely dark, gritty, and humorous world of Warhammer Online: Age Of Reckoning," commented Jon Niermann, president of EA Asia.

EA currently works with GigaMedia on the NBA Street Online title in the same territories, after announcing a deal in November last year.

"We are pleased and honoured to become EA's operating partner on another groundbreaking online game," added Arthur Wang, CEO of GigaMedia.

"We are sure that local players will warmly embrace and welcome this great game."

No release date has yet been announced for the title in the regions.
