EA signs new iTunes deal

Electronic Arts continues to forge relationships with Apple, with the announcement that music from all EA games will be made available on iTunes.

Electronic Arts continues to forge relationships with Apple, with the announcement that music from all EA games will be made available on iTunes.

The deal includes exclusive mixes, non-album tracks, international recordings, scores and themes from EA's top-selling franchises including Burnout, FIFA, Medal of Honor, SSX and Need for Speed.

"As our culture goes increasingly mobile, music fans have demanded to take our game music with them. They have been looking for a singular destination that houses all of EA's music - and this is it," said Steve Schnur, worldwide executive of music and marketing at EA.

The EA Trax label has had an increasing influence on popular music, helping acts such as Kasabian, Good Charlotte and Franz Ferdinand reach a wider audience.

"Our game soundtracks have now officially transcended their consoles."

"All songs, all mixes and all exclusives from all nations - if it's in the game, it's now available for fans to own. We consider this to be the next major step in evolving the music discovery experience," he added.
