Digital Bros opens Nesting Games

New Quebec-based game development studio aims to create AAA RPG

Publisher Digital Bros announced today the opening of game development studio Nesting Games.

Digital Bros said the studio is at work on a AAA single-player RPG that will be a new intellectual property.

Nesting Games says that it aims to be a modern studio with modern values such as collaboration, ownership, ambition and inclusivity. It said that inclusivity will extend to the "diversity of its team", accessibility, as well as a studio culture that will "break the trend of overtime" and allows for fully remote workers.

Based out of Quebec, Nesting Games was founded by Frederic Brassard, Jordane Thiboust, Sebastien Brassard, and Alexandre Lalancette.

The development team of Nesting Games has worked on various franchises such as Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, and Borderlands.

"We want to go back to creating RPGs that are focused on immersion, great characters, powerful storytelling, and strong gameplay," said Thiboust, Nesting Games chief creative officer.

"We are moving away from the 'massive open world' model, full of icons to clean up, and returning to experiences that are content-driven and ultimately respect the player's time. Whether you play our games for 30 minutes or a two-hour session, what you will get is always interesting content and a gratifying experience."
