Develop in Brighton Conference 2010

Speaker submissions invited if you've got anything you'd like to get off your chest in July.

Tandem Events announced today that the call for Speaker Submissions is open for the Develop in Brighton Conference, which will take place from 13 – 15 July 2010.

Now in its fifth year, the Develop in Brighton Conference has established itself as Europe’s leading event for the game development community – with more than 80 quality sessions given by international development experts and around 1,200 developers getting together to share ideas, learn from each other, and socialise.

The conference will open again with the extremely well-received Evolve on Tuesday 13 July, which focuses on the cutting-edge of game development, including:

• New platforms, from Android and iPhone to PSP Go and Facebook

• New technologies, such as 3D TV and fusing games with broadcast media

• New markets – both geographic, such as China and Brazil, and demographic, such as the ultra-casual market and educational games for classrooms.

The learning continues on Wednesday and Thursday with the proven high-quality programme delivering practical advice on the latest issues, tools, tricks and techniques of game development. This year also sees the introduction of special long-form masterclass sessions, that will go deeper than ever before to comprehensively cover opportunities such as self-publishing for game developers.

“The Develop Conference has always prided itself on being an event created by developers for developers. So, as well as inviting speakers directly, the call for submissions offers developers the chance to help shape the programme themselves,” commented Andy Lane, managing director of Tandem Events.

Delegates can submit their proposals for conference sessions via the online form at: www.developconference.com. The submissions deadline is 25 March 2010.
