For Immediate Release

Feb. 19, 2008

SAN FRANCISCO (from GDC 2008) - Feb. 19, 2008 - DAZ Productions Inc., a leading developer of professional-quality 3D software and models, today announced collaboration with game content pipeline provider, Mogware, to utilize their automation toolset technology used by leading game developers for moving DAZ 3D content directly into their 3D software or games. MOGBox, which is being shown for the first time at the 2008 Game Developers Conference (GDC), is designed as a time-saving and cost-effective solution for the large tasks of 3D content creation and reformatting. For more information please visit DAZ 3D and Mogware during GDC 2008 in the North Hall, booth #6439.

"Game developers spend a large amount of time creating and reformatting 3D content so that it will work in various game engines and 3D software applications," said Dan Farr, president and co-founder of DAZ 3D. "DAZ has worked hard for years to simplify this process and provide our library of high-quality 3D content in various formats. Thanks to Mogware, we've solved one of the most difficult challenges as now users are able to move any 3D content very quickly from one environment or format to another."

DAZ 3D offers an expanding library of high-quality 3D characters and content as well as a line of free and easy-to-use 3D tools which may be used by artists to modify content before placing into their pipeline. Created by DAZ published artists and its community of over 700,000 users, DAZ 3D content is designed to be versatile, allowing compatibility with any game environment, regardless of polygonal limitations.

"Producing tools that help developers deliver their games to market quicker has always been Mogware's mission, but this relationship with DAZ 3D opens a whole new world for these game developers," said John Renstrom, president of Mogware. "Why re-create art from scratch when you can simply transfer the highest quality 3D content available, at a fraction of the price? We believe this opportunity will further accelerate time-to-market and reduce cost for new games."

"The ability to easily access and transport high-quality content with the MOGBox solution will be a boon to development teams," said Rafhael Cedeno, CTO, The Multiverse Network Inc., a leading virtual world development platform company. "By streamlining access to content, such as the DAZ 3D library, we anticipate that this solution will greatly reduce costs, opportunities for error, and overall development time."

Pricing and Availability

Available in spring 2008, the MOGBox functionality may be used as a stand-alone tool, as well as a component of DAZ 3D software applications such as DAZ Studio. For further information, please visit the DAZ 3D Website at www.daz3d.com.
