Control and Death Stranding nominated for 11 BAFTAs each

Hideo Kojima to receive Fellowship as Death Stranding ties for most nominations in BAFTA Game Award history

Death Stranding and Control lead the BAFTA Game Awards nominations with 11 each, tied for the highest number of nominations in the event's 17 year history.

While both games appear in categories like Animation, Artistic Achievement, and Original Property, Death Stranding was not nominated for Best Game, unlike Remedy's Control.

Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima will receive a Fellowship however, which is the highest accolade BAFTA can bestow.

Hosted by comedian Dara O'Briain on April 2, the awards are supported by BAFTA's official games partners Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts, PlayStation, SEGA Europe, Tencent Games and Ubisoft Entertainment, with EE sponsoring the Mobile Game of the Year award, which is decided by a public vote.
