Computec Media: the new market leader in online electronic entertainment / PC and video games
Online reach up 13.9 per cent
Computec Media AG's web presence has increased its overall online reach from 1.22 to 1.39 million unique users - a rise of 13.9 per cent over the second quarter of 2007 - according to internet facts, a market and media survey containing core data on third quarter internet use, published by online research group AGOF on 31 January 2008. The survey shows that in the electronic entertainment / PC and video games sector, Computec Media has grown faster than the market as a whole (4.26 per cent growth) and is the market leader in this segment.
Two portals are primarily behind this rise: www.pcgames.de which, according to AGOF, registered an online range of 480,000 unique users and the portal about online role-playing games www.buffed.de, which notched up 570,000 users.
"The current AGOF figures confirm Computec Media as the new market leader in the electronic entertainment / PC and video games sector. 1.39 million unique users are the best proof of our online media and portals' appeal," says Hans Ippisch, Commercial Director at Computec Media.
Computec Media has also seen a sharp rise in another key figure of internet use: page impressions have gone up from around 110 million in June 2007 to some 132 million in December 2007 (IVW).
