Casper's Scare School Spooky Sports Day

Designed for 6-to-9-year-old iPhone/iPod touch users (and it's surprising how many of those we've met) and available at the App Store now.

Classic Media, a global media company with a portfolio of some of the world’s leading family and pop-culture entertainment brands, today announces that it has signed a deal with games publisher Mastertronic and developers Codemonkeys to bring a Casper’s Scare School™ game to the iPhone and iPod Touch handsets.

Launched to coincide with the Halloween season, Spooky Sports Day is available now on digital download from Apple’s App store (UK) priced £2.99p. Based on the popular series aimed at kids aged 6-9yrs and currently airing on Boomerang (UK), the game challenges users to a series of ‘spooky’ sporting events as the Scare School celebrates its annual Spooky Sports Day. Gamers control the games using the iPhones touch screen and accelerometer.

David Tovey, Licensing Manager of Classic Media, commented - “iPhone has for a long time been a very attractive proposition for the company and we are thrilled to be bringing Casper to the app store. This extends the brands outreach into the digital space and compliments the ongoing brand activity surrounding Casper’s 60th birthday. Casper’s Scare School will be scheduled heavily on Boomerang (UK) during the Halloween season and the brand is currently embarking on a retail tour of all major Westfield shopping centres in the UK.”

Garry Williams, Business Development Director of Mastertronic, commented – “We’ve been working with Classic Media on previous projects and gaming formats, bringing Casper Scare School to the iPhone is a natural progression and we’re delighted to launch the game on the App Store.”
