Blue 52 closes its doors, but Stolen still on course for April release

London-based development studio Blue 52 has gone into liquidation, according to UK trade publication MCV.

There is no word yet as to the future of the developers' forthcoming console FPS, Deadlight. However, it has been confirmed that highly-anticipated stealth sim Stolen is on course for an April release, with Hip Interactive publishing the title on PC, PS2 and Xbox.

âBlue 52 has been liquidated because it was unable to continue to support the overheads necessary for several development teams and a separate technology and tools department,â Blue 52 co-director Jaid Mindang told MCV.

"We are continuing to pursue new development contracts with other publishing partners," he added.

According to sources, a small team is currently completing work on Stolen at new premises. Core staff members are hoping to set up a new development team under the name of Curve Games Studios later this year.
