BitSummit set to return as an in-person event this September

Attendance for Kyoto-based indie game event will be limited to visitors from Japan

Today, the Japan Independent Games Aggregate announced that BitSummit 2021 will be held in-person on September 2-3.

The indie game event will be held at the Kyoto International Exhibition Hall.

Last year's event was cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic. Organizers shared that this year, the festival will only be open to developers, publishers, media, and sponsors based in Japan.

While foreign developers won't be able to attend this year's BitSummit, the event will be providing remote booths and virtual meetings selected creators.

Founded in 2012, BitSummit was created to support Japanese independent game development and since its inception has become a yearly industry event for the region.
