Bethesda opens Russia office

Headed up by Simeon Chirikov, the new office will oversee sales and marketing for Russia and CIS

Bethesda Softworks has today announced the opening of an office is Moscow, Russia.

Headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, Bethesda has international offices in London, Frankfurt, Paris, Eindhoven, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.

The newly opened office will oversee sales and marketing across Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

In a statement, Bethesda said the new office underpins its commitment to its global publishing operations.

It will be headed up by Simeon Chirikov, who joins Bethesda as managing director for Russia.

Chirikov, an alumni of Electronic Arts and Wargaming, has previously acted as a consultant for Bethesda.

"The opening of the office in Moscow is a very exciting moment for Bethesda," said European managing director Sean Brennan

"We have an incredible roster of upcoming games... Simeon's extensive knowledge of the Russian and CIS markets will help us to maximise and deliver upon all these titles' potential."
