Best Buy to host Fallout 3 launch events
US retail chain to open select shops for midnight launch of Bethesda's highly anticipated title
Bethesda Softworks has announced plans to hold midnight openings at Best Buy stores across the US for the launch of its upcoming title Fallout 3.
Select stores in Washington, DC, New York, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Dallas and Chicago will play host to the midnight sales events on October 27.
"Fallout 3 has been a labor of love for the team at Bethesda and we can't wait to get the game into the hands of consumers," said Todd Howard, game director for Fallout 3. "We're looking forward to celebrating the launch of Fallout 3 with the fans."
Earlier this month, code of Bethesda's highly-anticipated title had already leaked onto the internet and made available through various torrent sites.
