Beneath A Steel Sky - Remastered

In the running for a Best App Ever Award.

Tuesday 5th January 2010

Revolution Software's Beneath A Steel Sky - Remastered has been shortlisted in the 2009 'Best App Ever' Awards 'Best Retro Game Reborn' category.

Now in their second year, the Best App Ever Awards are the original iPhone OS Application achievement awards. Created to recognise the best apps and games in the iTunes App Store, the Best App Ever Awards' goal is to help publicise the very best apps available, not just the best-selling apps.

"Since its release in October 2009, Beneath A Steel Sky - Remastered has enjoyed tremendous commercial and critical acclaim," says Charles Cecil, managing director, Revolution Software, "and we've been delighted with the accolades the game has received or been nominated for. Its popularity some 16 years after the original release shows the appetite for engrossing games with a sophisticated narrative - and gives us great confidence in our line-up for 2010."

The nomination process lasted just under a month and saw nearly 27,000 nominations for over 3,800 different apps submitted to the site. In addition to the public nominations, a committee of industry people and iPhone blog publishers was gathered to help nominate apps.
