Battlestar Galactica Online hits 5 million registered users

Bigpoint title Battlestar Galactica Online has reached 5 million registered users.

The game was released in open beta in February this year, and around 25,000 new players sign up per day.

"As BSGO continues to evolve, we're excited to offer new content to the fans and growing community," said producer Sarah Levantine.

"We listen very closely to what the players ask for and are happy to announce that more features and items, including a number of new ships, are on the way."

Bigpoint recently criticised publishers like EA and Ubisoft for their approaches to monetising additional content.
