Bandai Namco, AtGames resolve legal dispute

Judge dismisses lawsuit over Ms. Pac-Man rights, clearing way for re-release of AtGames' Namco arcade microconsole

Bandai Namco Entertainment America and AtGames' year-long fight over Ms. Pac-Man has been resolved, as last week a Northern California District Court judge ordered the case dismissed after the two companies resolved their differences.

Terms of the settlement were kept confidential.

Bandai Namco originally accused AtGames of developing a Ms Pac-Man home arcade game despite never having legitimately licensed it from the publisher.

With the dispute now settled, AtGames has said its Bandai Namco Arcade Blast microconsole featuring 10 of the publisher's classic arcade games will be returning to stores. It does not include Ms. Pac-Man.
