Rock Band hits 28 million downloads

Harmonix reveals 22 million downloaded tracks since February

Harmonix has revealed that Rock Band has seen over 28 million song downloads to date.

The rhythm game's community magazine boasted of the 345 downloadable tracks available and the 55 consecutive weeks it has added new content, according to Shacknews.

Last month, it was revealed that Rock Band's creators would receive a USD 300 million bonus "based on what they have achieved".

Harmonix also reported that it has hit the 500 total songs milestone for the Rock Band franchise, significantly up from the 200 songs reported in June.

The reported figure of 28 million downloads also represents a significant increase on the 6 million downloads announced in February.
