America's Army studio closes doors

Development efforts consolidated following release of AA 3

The US Army has closed down one of the studios responsible for the free war game and recruitment tool America's Army.

Development of the series will now shift from Emeryville in California to Redstone in Alabama according to an online report.

"This consolidation will allow us to gain efficiencies between our public and government applications," said the US Army in a statement issued to Shack News.

"We appreciate all the hard work that every member of the America's Army team has contributed to the project, and we look forward to delivering future America's Army game releases in the months ahead."

The most recent title in series, America's Army 3, was released this week.
