Activision Shareholders prepare to vote on Blizzard merger

Investors asked to vote on proposals to approve the transaction and related matters of the merger

Activision's shareholders are set to vote on the merger with Vivendi later today at the Peninsula Hotel, Beverly Hills, California.

The shareholders will be asked to vote on proposals to approve the transaction and related matters of the merger. Activision's board of directors has fixed the close of business on June 5, as the date for determining the stockholders entitled to receive notice of, and vote at, the special meeting.

An investment group had sued Activision over the merger, alleging that the company directors failed to obtain the best deal.

However last April the European Commission gave permission for the merger which was announced December of last year
