3D Brigade And Mesharray Open Joint Autodesk Authorized Training Center In Budapest

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

13 March 2008, Budapest, Hungary

3D Brigade, Eastern-Europe's leading art outsourcing studio for the videogame industry, and Mesharray Digital Media School, Hungary's largest institution teaching 3D graphics, joined together and opened a new Autodesk Authorized Training Center in Budapest, Hungary (EU). The facility is housed in the office building of 3D Brigade, so the students are in close proximity to actual production for the most renowned game developers and publishers on the world.

"We're awaiting the results of this cooperation with extraordinary excitement. Such symbiosis of a production studio and an educational institution is considered to be unusual even on a global scale," commented Bernadett Bakos, leader of Mesharray Digital Media School. "In my opinion, the motivation of the students in this facility is substantially higher than in a "traditional school", so accordingly they're able to find jobs in the videogame industry much easier. This is one of the most relevant standards of our success."

The strategic reason for this arrangement is that 3D Brigade can monitor the development of each student and offer a job to the most promising graduates. Trainee positions are open to talented artists who see their career or professional growth in the exciting world of game development.

"Among 3D Brigade's clients are the industry's largest, most important multinational companies in the world. To supply our constantly growing outsourcing needs, we have two options: establish new subsidiaries abroad and emphasize domestic education." said John Z. Vamosi, Chairman of 3D Brigade. "It's very delightful that, with the help of Mesharray Digital Media School, we're able to provide a home for this training center. Thanks to its Autodesk Authorized Training Center status, this facility can give aspiring Hungarian students a professional education, suitable even to the requirements of our most significant customers."

"We have very clear goals. In order to maintain our position among the world's leading art outsourcing studios for the videogame sector, we're going to establish approximately 1,000 new artist jobs by 2010; a part of them here, in Hungary. This training facility is one of the momentous cornerstones of this process," he added.

Thanks to the renowned clientele of 3D Brigade, the best and most skillful trainees can instantly prove themselves on key projects for such mammoth game companies as Electronic Arts, Disney Interactive Studios, Vivendi Universal, Eidos Interactive, Atari, Konami and many more.

The facility has a capacity of 14 and is equipped with the latest technology. The experienced instructors are aided by a high-resolution dual projector system and each student is supplied with powerful hardware (including the latest, industry-standard software applications) so they can acquire an internationally competitive knowledge. This exceptionally well-equipped facility is also home to 3D Brigade's courses and workshops for its internal artists.

Currently, the facility can house 8 courses in 2008, which means approximately 100 graduates per year. 3D Brigade and Mesharray plan to expand both the center's capacity, the framework, and the scale of the cooperation over time.
