Zoo Games/Basketball Hall of Fame deal

Unnamed Wii slamdunker to arrive in December (and in 2010 in Europe).

NEW YORK - August 12, 2009

Lace up your kicks and take it to the court! In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and in conjunction with the enshrinement of the Hall of Fame’s 50th Class, Zoo Games, Inc. today announced a deal with the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame to release a unique and challenging basketball video game starring some of the greatest players of all time. This title, available exclusively for Wii™ in North America this December and in Europe in 2010, uses innovative Wii Remote™ and Nunchuk™ capabilities to bring realistic basketball movement and action into your living room.

Ever wondered who would triumph in a one-on-one battle between Larry Bird and Oscar “The Big O” Robertson, or Bill Walton versus Robert “The Chief” Parish? Now gamers have the opportunity to play basketball as one of their favorite legendary basketball superstars. The excitement of the court hits home as players can take part in a slew of basketball mini-games including several classics: “Around the World,” “H.O.R.S.E.,” and “Slam Dunk Contest.” Play head-to-head with a friend to become a legend in Multiplayer mode and unlock new arenas, players and games as you tackle the Campaign mode.

“The Basketball Hall of Fame is excited about this opportunity to showcase some of the greatest players the game has known through this unique and state of the art video game on Wii. The history of the game will certainly come alive on this platform through this innovative technology while encouraging fans of all ages to enjoy the talents of those that made the game what it is today,” said John Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

"We're thrilled to bring the legends of the game—true professional superstars—to the interactive gaming world," said Mark Seremet, CEO of Zoo Games. "We’re proud to work with a license that plays into the physicality of the Wii and embraces the fitness concept that these exceptional athletes live by."
