XLOC used to manage localization process in CoD: Black Ops.

RALEIGH, NC – Nov. 11, 2010 – XLOC, the leading provider of web-based global localization solutions for video games, announced today that its technology was used to manage the localization process of the highly-anticipated title Call of Duty®: Black Ops . XLOC worked with Activision Publishing, Inc. to localize the blockbuster title into French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Spanish on Xbox 360®, PlayStation®3, Nintendo Wii™, Windows PC and Nintendo DS.

Call of Duty®: Black Ops drops players behind enemy lines into covert warfare, deniable operations and explosive conflicts around the globe during the most dangerous time period mankind has ever known.  The epic single player campaign is matched by an all-new multiplayer mode that delivers a new level of player customization and features, including Wager Match gameplay and Theater video recording capabilities.   Call of Duty: Black Ops also supports stereoscopic 3D via active shutter technology glasses.

Developed by Treyarch and published by Activision Publishing, Inc, Call of Duty: Black Ops is rated “M” (Mature – Blood, Drug Reference, Intense Violence and Language) by the ESRB,The title is scheduled for release worldwide November 9 th for theXbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Nintendo Wii™ and Windows PC. A version for Nintendo DS is available, from developer n-Space also titled Call of Duty: Black Ops and is rated “T” for Teen.
