Xbox Series X will sell for $499

Console launches November 10 with pre-orders starting September 22; All Access subscription price is $35 monthly for two years

Microsoft today unveiled the launch details for its Xbox Series X, announcing that its high-end next-gen console will debut November 10 with a suggested retail price of $499.

That follows up yesterday's news that the all-digital Series S would launch November 10 at a $299 price point.

Pre-orders for the Series X will open on September 22.

For those who would prefer a lower upfront investment in the console, Microsoft also detailed the cost of its All Access subscription plan, which will include a Series X console and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate access for $35 a month with a two-year commitment (subject to credit line approval).

In addition, Microsoft announced today that Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC will include access to Electronic Arts' subscription service EA Play starting this holiday.

Update: Microsoft UK has revealed local prices for the new consoles, with the Xbox Series X selling for £449 and the Xbox Series S priced at £249.

In addition, Microsoft will roll out All Access plans in eight new countries this holiday season. That will bring the total number of countries where it is available to 12, with more expected to be added in 2021.

  • United States - Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Microsoft Store, and Walmart

Update 2: The Series X launch lineup is also starting to take shape, as Codemasters has confirmed Dirt 5 will arrive on Series X and Series S on November 10. Ubisoft has also said that Watch Dogs Legion and Assassin's Creed Valhalla will both arrive on Microsoft's new consoles November 10 as well.

Update 3: Microsoft has confirmed that the price of an All Access subscription plan for an Xbox Series S console will be $25 a month for 24 months.
